Motorola unveils the Rs1.11-lakh Aura

Motorola has launched the Motorola Aura in India, unveiled in Mumbai by brand ambassador Abhishek Bachchan, who presented the first Aura to fashion designer Manish Malhotra. The handset is priced at Rs1.11 lakh.

This luxury and artistic handset has come to India soon after it was launched in the US and the UK this month by the Schaumburg, Illinois-based mobile handset manufacturer. "Aura is Motorola's latest high-tier mobile device targeted at the trend-setter Indian who has a taste for the exquisitely stylish, unrivaled quality and sensuous luxury,''said, Faisal Siddiqui, head of Motorola's Indian operations.

It will be sold initially at selected cities like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai and Surat. The company says the AURA is a unique handset that breaks convention and re-establishes artistry in mobile device design and manufacturing.

Rolls Royce completes Phantom range in India

Luxury car maker Rolls Royce Motor Cars Ltd has introduced the Phantom Coupe, thus completing its offering of the entire Phantom family in India. The coupe is priced at over Rs 4 crore.

RR has one dealership each in Delhi and Mumbai. It is looking to sell 14 cars in India in 2009, the same number as last year. It failed to meet its sales target of 16 cars in India for 2008. It had sold 12 units in 2007.

Rolls Royce is also slated to bring a new car from the RR4 family to India in 2010, coinciding with the product's global launch.
